
He started with short programs geared toward teens in the mid-'80s and ended up directing episodes of many popular shows like "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose Place," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Charmed" and "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." In 19, he got back together with the "Happy Days" cast for reunion specials and has occasionally returned to acting a few times, including for a 1996 episode of "Boy Meets World" on which he played himself. In 2007, he married Renee Sloan, with whom he shares daughter Bailey, who was born that same year.Īfter acting on "Happy Days," Anson Williams transitioned to a successful career as a television director. Aside from acting, Scott has long been active in politics, campaigning for Ronald Reagan in the '80s and continuing to support Republican candidates over the years.

He moved into reality TV with VH1's "Scott Baio is 45… and Single" in 2007, which was followed by by "Scott Baio is 46… and Pregnant" the following year. He landed various TV projects in the '90s, most notably "Baby Talk" and "Diagnosis Murder," before landing a string of appearances on shows like "The Nanny," "Touched by an Angel" and "Arrested Development" over the last two decades. He played the titular character from 1984 to 1990. Scott Baio bounced from one successful series to the next in 1984, wrapping up "Happy Days" and then moving on to "Charles in Charge" that same year. Like love interest Joanie, the character of Chachi returned to "Happy Days" for the final season after "Joanie Loves Chachi" was canceled.
